Job Summary
Establish and maintain supportive relationships with individuals in recovery by sharing personal experiences to inspire and empower clients. Assist individuals in developing personal recovery goals, accessing community resources, and navigating healthcare and social services while encouraging self-advocacy. Facilitate peer support groups, workshops, and recovery-oriented activities, and collaborate with clinical staff to support holistic care. Document interactions and progress while maintaining confidentiality, and advocate for policies that support recovery-oriented care. Promote a culture of wellness, self-care, and resilience among peers.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Peer Support Specialist credential
- Strong mentoring and addiction counseling skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems for documentation and tracking
- Experience in crisis intervention and management
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
- Background in behavioral health and mental health counseling
