Peer Support Specialist

Collaborate with clinical staff to identify patient needs and develop interventions within the provider's care plan. Facilitate engagement with natural community supports, including self-help groups and social service agencies. Conduct all services promoting patient welfare through calmness, trust, and hope. Maintain a flexible schedule to assist patients within their needs, including attendance at 12-step meetings. Manage the caseload of active treatment patients and assist with intake processes, screening, and documentation. Orient new patients to McLeod Centers for Wellbeing and identify crisis situations requiring resolution. Work within a typical office setting with frequent communication and occasional travel, supporting the mission of equity and evidence-based practice in substance use disorder treatment.
