Job Summary
The Peer Support Specialist provides individualized support to clients in recovery from serious mental illness and/or substance use, emphasizing client self-determination and whole-health wellness through engagement and skill-building activities in various settings.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate training through the Iowa Peer Workforce Collaborative
- Two years of paid or volunteer experience with individuals with SPMI/Substance use
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel throughout Southwest Iowa
Desired Qualifications
- Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) training preferred
