Job Summary
Provide experience, strength, and hope to individuals, families, and significant others to minimize emotional impact of treatment and increase recovery likelihood. Assist in transitioning patients to appropriate care levels by coordinating with the multi-disciplinary team, including RNs, PCTs, and BHCs, and ensuring family and social supports are involved in discharge planning. Maintain a peer support role requiring a high school diploma, six months of recovery from substance use or mental health disorders, and valid identification. Join a growing non-profit integrated behavioral healthcare agency in Arizona serving patients with crisis, opioid use disorder, and mental illness.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders
- Valid identification
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher
- Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations
