Job Summary
Provide peer support one-to-one and in groups across community settings (homes, meetings, schools, hospitals, courtrooms) as part of the WISe Wraparound process, leveraging lived experience to inspire hope and recovery. Collaborate with the clinician and care coordinator to address ongoing youth/family needs identified on cross-system care plans; complete required documentation accurately and meet deadlines; participate in weekly supervision, case consultation, and staff meetings; attend monthly child and family planning meetings; offer resources to families and youth; travel within the countywide service area with mileage reimbursement. Requires the ability to work flexible hours including evenings within a 37.5 hour work week, and engage with diverse populations while upholding confidentiality and professionalism. Travel to various worksites and community settings, with the role involving in-person interactions and occasional driving. Meets background clearance requirements and any program-specific credentials; HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related or lived experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience or comparable lived experience navigating challenges similar to the clients served
- Submit Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration Application, CPR/First Aid, Washington State CANS certification (within 90 days of start date) and Obtain Certified Peer Counselor certification
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers
