Peer Support Specialist - Community Outreach Team

Peer Support Specialist role providing empathetic, non-judgmental peer support and mentorship to individuals facing mental health challenges. Responsibilities include one-on-one peer support sessions, guiding clients in identifying strengths and recovery goals, connecting them with resources (mental health services, housing assistance, employment opportunities, social support networks), advocating for clients within the community, leading or co-facilitating community events focused on mental health education and self-care, maintaining confidentiality, documenting client interactions and outcomes, and participating in supervision and training to enhance skills. Background checks, drug screenings, and APS registry checks are required for employment.
