Job Summary
Provide mentoring, encouragement, and peer support to consumers in community and program settings while assisting clients in developing daily living skills and accessing essential resources. Transport clients as needed to support community engagement, requiring a personal vehicle, and provide advocacy, coordination, and individualized side-by-side support to help clients achieve personal recovery goals. Collaborate with team members to support treatment goals, coordinate and facilitate social and group activities, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Ensure adherence to HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries while utilizing evidence-based practices to promote client wellness. This bilingual role requires a Peer Specialist Certificate, lived experience in mental health services, and strong interpersonal skills to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within Clarvida's recovery-focused behavioral health services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Peer Specialist Certificate
- Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person to someone receiving services
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Valid California driver's license
- Active auto insurance
