Job Summary
The Peer Support Specialist provides case management and follows the peer support code of ethics while conducting intakes and enrollment activities. Responsibilities include developing care plans, assisting the team with daily data tracking and monthly reports, and properly documenting in electronic health records. The role requires the ability to establish safe professional relationships, good communication skills, and proficiency in motivational interviewing. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified as a Peer Support Specialist or working toward certification
- Must be over the age of 18
- Living in recovery from mental health/substance use disorder or lived incarceration experience
- Valid NC driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Prior case management experience
- CPR certification
