Job Summary
Utilize outreach and engagement skills to support individuals in their recovery journey through modeling recovery values, teaching harm reduction strategies, and facilitating access to community resources. Provide crisis intervention in accordance with trauma-informed practices while protecting individuals from harm and exploring alternatives to hospitalization. Empower clients by promoting self-advocacy regarding human and legal rights and assisting in creating informal support networks. Transport clients to organization-sponsored services using a valid driver's license and acceptable driving history. Requires a high school diploma, Peer Support certification, and excellent communication skills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from a Peer Support Training Program
- Valid Driver's license
- Acceptable driving history
- Age 21 or greater
- Certificate of insurance demonstrating at least the minimum required NC auto liability insurance
