Job Summary
Bilingual Peer Support Specialist position providing prevention services, strength-based coaching, facilitation, and psychoeducational resources for beneficiaries and families. Responsibilities include leading skills-building groups, motivating engagement in behavioral health treatment, providing care coordination and resource access, mentoring and coaching, promoting wellness and recovery, and maintaining compliant documentation per agency and funding standards. Requires Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification and Spanish/English bilingual proficiency; on-site in Escondido, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state-approved Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proficient with EHR Systems (e.g., Welligent or SmartCare)
- Must possess a valid and unrestricted California Driver's License, with a good driving record
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screening (background, drug test, TB)
