Job Summary
Provide peer support and recovery training to individuals receiving services, acting as an advocate for their needs and rights while maintaining a safe environment. Engage participants in recovery partnerships by identifying their hopes, dreams, and solutions, and teach life skills using recovery tools. Model hope, personal responsibility, and self-advocacy to help individuals achieve goals, coordinate clinical resources, and cultivate connectedness within their lives. Complete required clinical documentation and adhere to compliance standards while performing other related duties as assigned. Overnights 7pm-7:30am.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Peer Employment Training - Certification as a Peer Support Specialist within 180 Days
- BLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Safety-Care Specialist
- Minimum of 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare student or comparable work experience in a health care environment
