Job Summary
Provide recovery-focused peer support in Behavioral Health Urgent Care by sharing lived experience, mentoring recovery values, and supporting wellness and resilience. Responsibilities include fostering recovery-oriented skills, facilitating connection to the local community, participating in team meetings, contributing to crisis and relapse-prevention planning (including WRAP), supporting self-determination and self-advocacy, documenting encounters in the electronic health record, and providing transportation as needed. Requires travel as needed and maintaining all required trainings/certifications. The role is based in Concord, NC, working Friday through Sunday evenings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) - State Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services (USA)
- Driver's License (Valid) - USA
- Experience working with adults with substance use disorder(s) | 1 Year | Required
- Lived experience and a personal recovery story related to mental illness or substance use | Required
