Job Summary
Peer Support Specialist / ACTT position within RHA Behavioral Health Services. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Certified as a Peer Support Specialist or 1 continuous year as a current or former recipient of treatment (including mental health/substance abuse treatment or diagnosis) and eligibility for certification as Peer Support Specialist by the governing agency
- Valid drivers’ license and automotive insurance
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- CPR, first aid, and role-specific certification (NCI and/or equivalent) a plus
- Pre-employment screening: criminal background check (OIG, Child Abuse Registry, etc.)
- Proof of employment history or references (if required)
- Experience working with persons with mental health/substance use challenges
