Job Summary
The Peer Support Professional role involves providing patient/client support services, advocating for patients' needs, and assisting in regaining control over their recovery processes. Responsibilities include using crisis intervention skills, maintaining records on clients' recovery, and effective communication with clients and their families. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, proficiency in computer applications, and the ability to work in a hectic environment. The employee may encounter stressful situations and will be expected to travel between various healthcare locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be, or have been, a client of mental health services, or is or has been a caretaker of minor child that has received mental health services
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Colorado Peer and Family Specialist (CPFS) credential is preferred
