Job Summary
Peer Specialist on the LEAP Team provides peer support, advocacy, coaching, mentoring, behavior modeling, and guidance for clients as part of a multidisciplinary team that conducts home visits and collaborates with clinicians. Requires lived recovery experience, a high school diploma or GED, computer use, and ability to pass background screenings; valid driver’s license and driver eligibility; part-time schedule in Pensacola, FL, with adherence to a drug-free workplace and equal opportunity employment. Training opportunities and participation in staff meetings, supervision, and quality reviews are noted, along with carrying out duties to support clients and engage with families and community providers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Lived experience in recovery (minimum two years in recovery from a substance use or mental health condition)
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must be able to pass organization/state background screenings
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence
- Background screening is required
