Job Summary
Conduct community outreach and provide education to reduce stigma around medication-assisted treatment and substance use disorders. Engage clients to receive behavioral health services and assist staff in identifying individuals eligible for CCBHC care. Provide NARCAN education kits and liaise with the community for appropriate referrals. Assist in driving the Outreach minivan while maintaining a clean driving record. Requires a High School Diploma/GED, two years of recovery-oriented experience, and CRPA certification. Lived experience with substance use or mental health challenges is preferred. Full-time, non-exempt role with 35 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years work or volunteer experience in a recovery-oriented setting
- CRPA
- CRPA P (OASAS)
- Travel within NYC
Desired Qualifications
- Lived experience with and knowledge of, the challenges pertaining to substance use and / or mental health conditions
- Clean driving record
