Job Summary
Provide peer support services for members with behavioral health and/or chemical dependency needs, advocating and offering information/resources in outpatient and inpatient settings; assist members in setting and pursuing recovery goals with care managers/treatment teams; may involve local travel based on state/contractual requirements; apply knowledge of recovery processes and standardized behavioral health methods to facilitate recovery; strong communication, documentation, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office and EMR systems); CPSS preferred; Molina Healthcare environment and equal opportunity employer context included.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job related travel requirements.
- At least 1 year health care experience, preferably in a peer support capacity, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources.
- Knowledge of recovery processes and the ability to facilitate recovery using established standardized behavioral health processes.
- Ability to multi-task between phone and various computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office suite/applicable software program(s) proficiency.
