Job Summary
Assists in the operation and maintenance of the SHARE Spot drop-in center in Arcadia, FL. Engage members in conversation and support. Assist in development and provision of groups, explaining the purpose and activities. Provide support in planning, coordinating, and implementing an activities program to meet diverse member needs. Maintain a non-judgmental, supportive atmosphere; convey hope about recovery; recognize when to share experiences vs. listen. Support members to set goals and envision future possibilities. This is a full-time role with benefits including health insurance, EAP, HSA contributions, PTO, holidays, 403b with employer contributions, and loan-repayment programs. Education requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent; certification as a Peer Support Specialist or ability to obtain certification within one year; background clearance and drug testing required; valid Florida driver's license and safe driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Peer Support Specialist certification or ability to become certified within one (1) year of employment
- Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test
- Valid FL driver's license, insurance, and safe driving record
