Job Summary
Assist individuals with psychiatric disabilities by sharing lived experiences of recovery and modeling successful behaviors. Provide individual assistance in assessing mental health services, including accompanying clients to appointments and addressing medical needs. Act as a liaison between clients and community resources while supporting daily living skills such as budgeting and bill payment. Develop self-help groups outside the agency and facilitate open exchanges of ideas through effective oral communication. Maintain accurate progress notes in the PIRP format and complete group counseling logs. Comply with FCC Behavioral Health policies, CARF, and DMH standards while ensuring client confidentiality and professional demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must self-identify as present and/or former person(s)-served of mental health services
- Must complete a State approved training program and pass a standardized examination
- Meet the minimum requirements to be clinically privileged by FCC Behavioral Health
