Job Summary
Provide Peer Specialist support to clients experiencing homelessness and recovery challenges. Responsibilities include coordinating with the clinical team to assist housing and recovery goals, case management, referrals to housing, job assistance, and treatment services, educating clients on self-help techniques and coping strategies, escorting clients to appointments (e.g., HRA, Social Security), and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings. Requires CRPA and H.S. diploma/GED; CPR certification or willingness to obtain it; bilingual abilities a plus; 37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm. Vaccination preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/ GED
- Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) required
- training/experience in homeless services, substance abuse treatment and mental health services
- bilingual abilities a plus
- basic computer literacy
- CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR
