Peer Recovery Supporter

Job Summary
Provide engagement and recovery support services to individuals with addictions and substance use disorder, including outreach to those experiencing homelessness. Coordinate with community partners to link clients to housing, treatment, benefits, and job resources; assess substance use disorders; deliver recovery education and sober-support information; connect with individuals recently in contact with emergency response for overdoses; assist in implementing individualized recovery plans; drive own vehicle for on-site outreach and service delivery in Amelia, OH and surrounding Clermont County. Possesses lived recovery experience, relevant certification, and ability to obtain certification within 90 days; must pass drug test and have a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Lived experience of substance use disorder and active in maintaining recovery for a minimum of twelve months
- Knowledge of substance use disorder system, mental health system, and healthcare strongly desired
- Drug test required prior to start
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record required
