Job Summary
Conduct direct services for individuals experiencing substance use disorders, including outreach, engagement, and linkage to community supports like transportation and in-home services. Cultivate connections with parents and caregivers to coach them toward recovery goals, model personal responsibility, and assist with daily living skills. Maintain relationships to support treatment engagement and retention while developing culturally competent recovery plans with measurable objectives. Provide supportive phone calls, letters, and home visits to empower self-directed choices, attend Family Team Meetings, and participate in case consultations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- The Department of Children and Families approved Peer Recovery Support Service training including Ethics and Division of Child Protection and Permanency
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of addictions
- At least 2 continuous years of sustained recovery or 2 years of practicing the principles of recovery as a family member affected by substance use
- Additional trainings: Domestic Violence (DV), Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking, Psychological First Aid and all agency specific trainings
