Job Summary
Provide practical support, mentoring, advocacy, and problem-solving to patients in recovery; educate patients and families on mental illness and addiction; assist in setting recovery goals; facilitate self-help group participation; utilize WRAP and other tools for individualized wellness plans; teach coping and problem-solving techniques in group settings; support vocational exploration and housing assistance; collaborate with treatment teams on recovery plans; advocate that addiction is a brain disease; maintain confidentiality and navigate multiple tasks under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in behavioral health
- High School degree or equivalent
- Peer Recovery or Peer Recovery Coach certification preferred
