Job Summary
Provide peer recovery support services to patients in SUD and/or mental health programs across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. Duties include conducting patient orientation, group scheduling, and issuance of handbooks; data-entry into Avatar for admissions/discharges; supervising patients and maintaining census counts, including overnight coverage; conducting and maintaining annual certifications for UA testing, searches, and related procedures; administering and coordinating care such as transportation, coordination of health services across mental health, SUD, housing, and primary medical care; supporting patient engagement, self-management, and transitions to community living; delivering education and tools for coping, problem-solving, and resilience; providing recovery guidance around 12 steps, housing, vocational training, employment, and other community services; promoting confidentiality and ethical standards; attending trainings and continuing education; and acting as a professional peer support role model. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or above, Medi-Cal PSSC, relevant licenses if required, computer literacy, and at least 1 year of behavioral health/peer support experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or above
- Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification (PSSC)
- Class C License or Class B license (if required by job assignment)
- Computer literate
- Minimum 1 years' experience in behavioral healthcare and/or providing peer support services.
