Job Summary
Peer Recovery Specialist role providing recovery-oriented substance use and mental health treatment access, connecting clients with treatment options, community resources, and support across clinical and community settings using motivational interviewing and recovery-focused practices; responsibilities include advocating, coaching, accompanying clients to appointments, linking to resources, documenting services, and maintaining therapeutic rapport across diverse populations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
- Active and unencumbered peer recovery certification required in CPSP or CPRC variants
- Minimum one (1) full year of work experience as a certified peer specialist for Mobile Crisis Service Area (if applicable)
- Certification as CPSP, CPRC-A, or CPRC required
- Valid Indiana driver’s license (per driving policy requirements)
