Job Summary
Coordinate services for emergency department patients with substance use disorder between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and Tidelands Health Emergency Department. Provide referrals, assist clients, deliver health education on substance use, and perform case management. Document attempts to link clients to care, conduct prescribed surveys, facilitate transportation as needed, and collaborate with Shoreline and ED staff. This grant-funded, full-time role requires evening hours and weekends with initial placement at Shoreline in Conway and eventual full-time work in the ED. Strong data collection/reporting skills and a recovery-focused, compassionate approach are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety
- Peer Support Credentials preferred
- Requires basic computer skills
- ability to accurately collect and report data
- compassionate and nonjudgmental
- culturally competent
- self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred
