Job Summary
Part-Time Peer Recovery Coach for the Brooklyn Collaborative Legal Engagement and Addiction Response (CLEAR) program in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities include responding to precincts throughout Brooklyn to discuss program benefits, identifying and facilitating emergency resources, coordinating with the Case Manager and referrals to community-based services, meeting with clients on-site and off-site, providing Naloxone kits and training, participating in team meetings and trainings, maintaining client charts and notes, and liaising with criminal justice agencies. Requires lived recovery experience, strong communication, willingness to travel across Brooklyn, and ability to work nights and weekends. Salary: $33 per hour. Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 4 PM–12 AM. Location: 175 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or educational equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout Brooklyn
- Willingness to work nights and weekends
- Proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft Office, calendars, email, databases)
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or educational equivalent
- Certified Peer Recovery Coach Certification (CRPA) or training (preferred)
- OASAS/OMH Peer Specialist Certification or peer specialist training (preferred)
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to travel throughout Brooklyn
- Willingness to work nights and weekends
