Job Summary
Engage members served in meaningful conversations to help them explore and meet their own recovery goals while providing consultation to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture. Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing mental health or addiction emergencies. Maintain Peer Certification and Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification (CA) throughout employment while driving clients to appointments and groups. Requires a high school diploma, one year of behavioral health support experience, and a valid driver's license. On-call shifts with varying days as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Peer Certification
- California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification
- One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
- Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training
- Valid and current driver's license
- Personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups
- On-Call availability
- Variable shifts and days as needed
