Job Summary
Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served to help them explore and meet their own recovery goals. Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture, ensuring each member's point of view is recognized and integrated into services. Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing mental health or addiction emergencies. This part-time day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday) requires a High School Diploma, Peer Certification, and one year of behavioral health experience. Join Telecare's Compassionate Team, where the In-Home Outreach Team serves 240–300 adults annually with serious mental illness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Peer Certification
- California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA
- One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
- Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training
- Valid and current driver's license
- Personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.
