Job Summary
Peer Recovery Coach I engages with members to explore and meet recovery goals, providing consultation to promote Telecare’s Recovery Culture under RCCS. Responsibilities include facilitating meaningful conversations, de-escalation during emergencies, and supporting in-home outreach through Telecare’s IHOT program. The role is full-time (days) in San Diego, with a starting wage of $21.00–$22.52 per hour, and requires a high school diploma or GED, peer certifications, CalMHSA certification within 120 days, behavioral health experience, and valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment
- Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of your date of hire and maintained throughout employment
- One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
- Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training
- Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.
