Job Summary
Provides direct in-home services to clients at Sabra Goldman House, teaching daily living skills (hygiene, laundry, apartment cleaning), budgeting/shopping/meal planning, self-preservation and safety, and group facilitation. Monitors apartment maintenance, administers or teaches self-administration of medication per policy, documents client progress, reports incidents to supervisor, escorts clients for travel when needed, and supports recovery goals. Documents services rendered and participates in training and duties as assigned by supervisory staff; requires lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homelessness services and English communication skills. Part-time role based in Queens Village, NY with 16 hours/week schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Lived experience receiving mental health, substance use, or homeless services
- Commitment to assisting others in mental health recovery goals
- Completion of or on track to receive NYCPS certification preferred
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work 16 hours per week (two 8-hour days or four 4-hour days)
