Job Summary
Provides direct service to clients in their homes, assisting with training in skills of daily living. Responsibilities include teaching skills for maintaining personal hygiene, laundry and apartment cleaning; budgeting, shopping, meal planning, preparation and cleanup; self-preservation and safety in living units; administering the client cooking safety test; medication self-administration; documenting services and client progress; escorting clients for travel when needed; facilitating groups; building self-advocacy to communicate with supports and treatment teams; supporting recovery goals to decrease emergency contacts; attending trainings and other duties as assigned. Requires lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homeless services, and English communication skills; NYCPS certification preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred; basic computer and data entry skills. Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays 8:00am-4:00pm in Bronx, NY.
