Job Summary
Provides direct service to clients in their homes, teaching daily living skills (personal hygiene, laundry, apartment cleaning), budgeting, shopping, meal planning and safety; monitors apartment maintenance and safety; administers or supervises medication administration; escorts clients as needed; facilitates or co-facilitates groups; documents services and client progress; supports recovery goals and self-advocacy; participates in trainings and communicates with supervisory staff to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Lived experience receiving mental health services, substance use services, or homelessness services; commitment to assisting others in recovery
- Completion of or on track to receive NYC Peer Program (NYCPS) certification preferred
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Certified – FT Salary: $49,192 plus generous benefits (for certified position)
- Non-certified – FT Salary: $48,672 plus generous benefits (for non-certified position)
