Job Summary
Provides direct service to clients in their homes, assisting with training in skills of daily living. Teaches skills for maintaining personal hygiene, laundry and apartment cleaning; budgeting, shopping, meal planning, preparation and clean-up; self-preservation and safety in living units; monitors maintenance and reports issues; administers and documents medication administration as per policy; escorts clients for travel as needed; facilitates groups; supports building self-advocacy and recovery goals; attends trainings and performs duties as assigned by supervisory staff. Lived-experience with mental health, substance use, or homeless services is required; NYCPS certification preferred; English communication and basic computer skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homelessness services; commitment to helping others achieve recovery goals
- Completion of or on track to receive NYCPS certification preferred
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic computer and data entry skills

- Peer Program Specialist (Single Site), Non-certified – P/T Hrly Salary: $22.00
