Job Summary
Provides in-home direct service to clients in the Bronx, teaching daily living skills (hygiene, laundry, apartment cleaning), budgeting, shopping, meal planning and safety; monitors apartment maintenance, administers self-administration of medication, documents client progress, facilitates groups, and supports self-advocacy and recovery goals, with emphasis on leveraging lived experience to support clients’ mental health, substance use, and housing goals.
Required Qualifications
- Lived experience as a consumer of mental health, substance use, or homeless services is required
- Completion of or on track to receive New York Certified Peer Program (NYCPS) certification preferred
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic computer and data entry skills
