Job Summary
Provide CORE services to participants on your caseload including Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Family Support and Training, and Empowerment Services via telehealth, in the client's home, or in the community. Produce and maintain thorough documentation of interactions, services provided, and contacts with agencies. Facilitate referrals to Recovery Oriented Systems of Care providers, advocate for individual needs, and support participants in developing person-centered recovery plans. Meet with participants regularly to promote choice and supported risk, provide companionship during community appointments and stressful transitions, and implement community outreach plans. Deliver Naloxone training and HARM Reduction education, complete GPRA intake and follow-ups, and work flexible non-standard hours including Saturdays and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or CRPA-Provisional Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer literacy including familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Knowledge or shared lived experience with OUD and/or StUD
- Willingness to travel throughout the required catchment area as needed for applicable programs and able to navigate the public transportation systems to client's home and within the community
- Must have ability to work a flexible schedule
- This position follows non-standard hours including some Saturday and evening work
- Knowledge and commitment to recovery-oriented systems of care
- Demonstrate ability to work independently
- Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to think logically, prioritize and follow procedures and instructions
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Experience with advocacy, outreach and engagement, self-help, recovery and transitional supports
