Job Summary
Provide direct emotional support and crisis intervention to Stanislaus County clients with serious mental illness, including outreach, walk-in services, and telephone assistance. Lead members in non-clinical activities while engaging with clients at various sites, arranging transportation to medical appointments, and monitoring medication distribution. Assist individuals and families in accessing preventative care, housing, and benefits, while developing individual service plans and coaching on social skills and job readiness. Consult with care providers to advocate for timely treatment and recovery management.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduation or completion of GED program
- Two (2) years of varied lived experience or as a provider of mental health services
- California driver's license
- Current vehicle insurance/registration
- Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old
