Job Summary

Conduct campus tours and events from start to finish, guiding prospective students through the college selection, application, and financial aid processes. Provide information to high school students regarding academic and career options, Dallas College success resources, and instructional departments. Assist students in completing the FAFSA, Texas Application for State Financial Aid, and Apply Texas application. Support the planning, preparation, and execution of New Student Orientation events while managing hands-on tasks including set-up and tear-down. Requires evening and weekend hours as needed within a flexible schedule. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, a Texas resident, and demonstrate financial need.

Must be registered with Selective Service or be exempt
Must demonstrate financial need
Must Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Must Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards set by Dallas College
Must be enrolled and certified in at least six hours (half time) for Fall, Spring and Summer semesters, in a plan leading to a degree or certification
Must not have any prior institutional balance or blocks
Must not be a recipient of an athletic scholarship during any semester the student is awarded WSMP funds
Must not be enrolled in a seminary or other program leading to ordination or licensure to preach for a religious sect or to be a member of a religious order
Must not owe back child support obligation to the State
Must be available for evening and weekend hours as needed within a flexible schedule
Must be able to assist with conducting campus tours and campus events from start to finish
