Job Summary
Peer Engagement Fellow for Jews of Color in Baltimore seeks to build relationships within the Jewish community, design and facilitate gatherings for the focus community, maintain connections with staff, participate in strategy and trainings, track outreach using a CRM, and manage a modest budget. The role is part-time (about 10 hours/week), hybrid with meetings in the community, in the office, and from home, and pays $25/hour. The Fellow will collaborate with Network staff and fellow engagers to strengthen inclusive practices and partnerships, supporting underserved identities and fostering belonging.
Required Qualifications
- Strong relational skills and comfort engaging individuals and families across life stages
- Experience convening, facilitating, or organizing small groups or gatherings (formal or informal)
- Ability to navigate both community-facing work and collaboration with organizations
- CRM experience or willingness to track outreach, relationships, and program participation
- Budget management capability to support relational meetings and community gatherings
- Familiarity with equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives particularly within Jewish communities
- Willingness to participate in peer engagement trainings and shared professional development
- Open to part-time schedule (average 10 hours/week) and hybrid work arrangement
- Formal Jewish education or professional nonprofit experience is not required
