Job Summary
Part-time Hybrid Peer Engagement Fellow for Parents of LGBTQ+ Children in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include building and sustaining a relational network through one-to-one conversations, co-designing and facilitating gatherings for the focus community, maintaining regular contact with Network staff, participating in peer engagement trainings and professional development, sharing community insights to strengthen inclusive practices, collaborating with peers and staff, tracking outreach and participation using the agency’s CRM, and managing a modest budget to support relational meetings. Ideal candidates bring lived experience and a desire to strengthen Jewish belonging, with strong interpersonal skills, experience convening groups, ability to work across community-facing and organizational partnerships, comfort with ambiguity, and commitment to inclusion of diverse Jewish identities. Formal Jewish education or nonprofit experience is not required. Compensation is $25 per hour, approximately 8-12 hours per week (avg. 10), with a 40-hour monthly cap; benefits include program budget, training, coaching, and ongoing supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Experience convening, facilitating, or organizing small groups or gatherings (formal or informal).
- Strong relational skills and comfort engaging individuals and families across life stages.
- Ability to navigate both community-facing work and collaboration with organizations.
- Comfort with ambiguity, patience with systems-level change, and openness to learning.
- Alignment with relationship-based engagement and inclusion of diverse Jewish identities, experiences, and backgrounds.
