Job Summary
Peer Counselor at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. The role supports clients at outpatient Behavioral Health sites and in the community, providing case management, education, and resources to assist with housing, income, employment, medical and mental health treatment, and meaningful activities. Responsibilities include outreach, collaboration with clinicians, documenting services, facilitating group and one-on-one support, and coordinating with crisis staff to promote recovery and community integration. The position emphasizes adherence to Sea Mar’s mission, values, and commitment to culturally-aware, client-centered care; duties may involve on-site services at clinics and community settings.
Required Qualifications
- One year paid or volunteer experience working with Mental Health
- Must be a Certified Peer Counselor in the State of Washington
- Must hold and maintain an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License within 90 days of hire
- Must have a current TB test
- Must complete an annual clinical competency test as a Peer Counselor
- Education and Experience: Graduation from the Washington Institute Peer Advocacy Training Program or Rainbow Center Peer Advocacy Training Program or equivalent
- Must hold and maintain Car insurance
