Job Summary
Serve as the face of Undergraduate CCD to students, demonstrating professionalism and strong communication skills. Coach peers on online career tools including Handshake, Canvas, VMock, and Interstride, while hosting office hours for resume writing and internship search strategies. Collaborate with Residence Hall Advisors and Student Leaders to organize events and present on foundational career topics. Market CCD services through social media and campus partnerships, and staff the front desk reception to handle phone and email inquiries. Contribute to CCD's strategy to capture the student voice and assist with special projects based on interest. Available for approximately 6-8 hours per week with weekly training during the academic year.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn and be comfortable with technology and social media
- Comfort with advising peers and presenting to large and small groups
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated reliability and responsibility
- Interest in the career development process
- Commitment to promoting CCD's services, resources, and brand to peers as an ambassador
- Must be in good academic standing
- Available to work approximately 6-8 hours per week
- Knowledge of and ability to coach students on online career resource tools including Handshake, Canvas, VMock, Interstride, and relevant Horn Library Resources
- Ability to attend weekly training/development sessions during academic year
