Job Summary
PEDS Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to neonatal through geriatric patients, utilizing RT-CRT setups, monitoring and weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, delivering ABG analyses and EKGs, and performing routine and advanced therapeutic procedures. Requires NBRC-eligible/RT credentials and current state license, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days of hire; responsibilities include documenting clinical information, educating patients and teammates, and ensuring compliance with policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
