Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs for pedorthotic services, formulate device designs, and select materials for custom fabrication. Perform static and dynamic alignments, fit orthoses and prostheses, and instruct patients on device usage while adjusting for optimal function and efficacy. Provide follow-up with patients and physicians, conduct in-service training for allied health professionals, and reconcile issues to ensure patient satisfaction. Manage clinical notes, support reimbursement activities, and mentor newly certified clinicians under supervision if board certification is not yet achieved.
Required Qualifications
- Current board certification in Pedorthics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC)
- A valid driver's license
- Driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
- In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain state licensure
- At least 5 years of demonstrated past experience in providing prosthetic and/or orthotic services under the supervision of a certified clinician
