Job Summary
Coordinate and manage individual patient care across multiple locations, completing physical assessments, providing diagnoses, and managing therapy through prescriptions, consultations, and referrals. Perform diagnostic tests, medical procedures, and follow up on critical results using established protocols. Communicate via telephone to discuss test results, medication refills, and medical questions while supporting mid-level providers in a supervisory or collaborative role. Maintain licensure through continuing education and adhere to state requirements. This outpatient practice serves a Federal Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing quality, cost-effective care to all community members, including low-income patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric residency program
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio
- Maintaining license through continuing education
- DEA number
- NPI number
- Knowledge of community health needs
- Knowledge of modern practices of public health programs
- Experience in ambulatory care
- Ability to provide health care in a sensitive, non-judgmental manner to persons of all economic levels and cultural backgrounds
