Job Summary
Conduct pediatric care in a collaborative outpatient setting with dedicated call shifts for deliveries and rounding. Manage a 1:7 call ratio with post-call days, utilizing a robust mentorship program and precepting advanced practice providers and future residents. Work within a collegial, autonomous environment supported by dedicated MA staff to ensure efficient workflow. Join an established team of six physicians and one APP at Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican, affiliated with a Level 3 NICU hospital in Santa Cruz County.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of California.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric diseases, treatments, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, parents, and healthcare team members.
- Empathy and patience when working with children and their families.
- Attention to detail and ability to make accurate diagnoses based on comprehensive evaluations.
