Job Summary

Develop an informed diagnosis based on technical knowledge and the child's medical history by performing thorough examinations on newborns and children to monitor and record their health. Diagnose sick children's medical conditions through in-depth questioning, assess injuries, and recommend appropriate lab tests or referrals. Inform parents on diet, exercise, and disease preventive measures while dispensing vaccines and prescribing medications in accordance with governmental guidelines. Maintain updated confidential records of child's illnesses and surgeries, and participate in professional development activities to stay current with Pediatric medical advancements. Hold an active New Jersey license to practice medicine with a specialty in Pediatrics and be board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold an active New Jersey license to practice medicine with a specialty in Pediatrics.
  • Board-eligible of Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of children epidemiology and infectious diseases.
  • Highly skilled in the application of diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation principles and techniques.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of drugs/medication appropriate for children and their side-effects.
  • Experienced in traditional and web-based prescription systems.
  • Demonstrates active listening skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and problem-solve.
  • Superbly adept in communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
