Job Summary
Examine, diagnose, treat, and refer patients on an in-patient and out-patient basis while prescribing medications and treatment regimens. Maintain problem-oriented electronic health records, ensuring all encounters are closed within 24 hours. Review lab and x-ray reports timely to make medical management decisions and refer clients for appropriate specialty, lab, and ancillary services. Provide comprehensive medical services on a timely basis, maintain productivity standards, and minimize schedule changes. Train, mentor, and supervise students and clinical support staff. Take after-hours and weekend calls on a rotation basis to respond appropriately. Participate in health promotion programs, departmental meetings, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ensure patient satisfaction surveys remain at 94% or above by monitoring trends and implementing corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited Medical School
- current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Texas
- Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty
- registered and have current DEA, and other such certificates to legally operate a practitioner in the State of Texas
- Hospital privileges at designated area hospitals if required for specialty
