Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive pediatric medical services in an outpatient clinic setting, including patient assessments, diagnoses, and care plan development for acute and chronic conditions. Manage outpatient clinic operations by serving as a supervisor for mid-level providers, initiating specialist referrals, and reviewing laboratory and radiology results. Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure timely closure of all patient notes while adhering to productivity standards of seeing three patients per hour. Collaborate with management and participate in care team huddles and all-staff meetings to foster a culture of service excellence and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Pediatrician
- At least 3 years of experience in a related role outside of residency
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
- DEA certificate
- CPR Certification
- Able to be successfully credentialed by our organization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Interest in helping the underserved population
- Familiarity with Quality Measures
- FQHC Experience
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be available for Monday through Saturday
- Must be available for hours ranging from 7:30am-6:pm PST
- Must be able to work occasional approved overtime
- Must be able to stand on your feet
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to sit, walk, bend, or stand as necessary
- Must be able to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to perform repetitious movements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend and twist the body

- Must be able to meet productivity standards for care providers, including a goal of seeing 3 patients per hour

- Ensure patient information is always secure and confidential
- Perform evaluation and treatment of patients in an outpatient clinic setting
- Assess medical needs and develop a care plan and preventive health maintenance, assess acute needs, chronic conditions
- Keep accurate, concise, and thorough documentation of all medical history, exam results, and discussions with patients in relation to their health care
- Close all notes in the EMR in a timely manner
- Review and sign off on all laboratory and radiology results. Ensure that there is patient follow up when necessary
- Initiate and follow through on specialist referrals. Communicate with specialist providers when necessary
- Serve as a clinic supervisor for mid-level providers
- Participate in care team huddles, provider meetings, and all-staff meetings
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
