Job Summary

Conduct primary and urgent patient care for children aged 0-19 in an ambulatory clinic setting, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnosis. Order laboratory and radiology studies, prescribe treatments from the pharmacy formulary, and manage follow-up or referrals when internal resources are unavailable. Deliver 12-14 patient visits per 8-hour shift, adhering to specific timeframes for routine care and well-child checks. Participate in after-hours on-call coverage rotation every three months and travel between RSBCIHI clinic locations as needed. Maintain cultural sensitivity for the Native American community and function effectively within the multidisciplinary health care team.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Unrestricted California medical license
  • Active DEA license
  • Current board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics
  • Valid CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Must be able to work with the Indian community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs
  • Must have excellent physical and emotional health
  • Must be insurable by the program's insurance carrier
  • Must have a safe driving record
  • Must have a DMV record

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in an ambulatory care patient setting
